Education Engagement Advocates (EEAs)

Education Engagement Advocates (EEAs)

Rugby Town (11) & Rugby Rural (12)

Welcome to the Education Engagement Advocate page, where we will be posting a number of useful links and resources to support children in your school. This is an evolving page, so please do continue to revisit for the latest updates and resources.

The Education Engagement Advocate is to support a school, in supporting a child, who is at risk of suspension or has been permanently excluded, and on a managed move. Their role is to work collaboratively with the child, family, school and agencies to support transition, attendance and behaviour. Their role is primarily to observe current practice and work collaboratively with professionals to produce a re-integration/support plan.

Please click on the link below for the EEA presentation, outlining the provision and referral process.

 EEA Priorities

Priority 1 – Early Intervention

A child who has not received assessments by STS or EP services. Early Help and low level universal support, may be in place i.e. check ins, dedicated 1:1 time, nurture or thrive interventions. The EEA will work collaboratively with the child, family, school and agencies to identify best practice and training/development areas.

Priority 2 – Fixed term suspension

If a child receives a fixed term suspension, whether this be their first or reoccurrence. Where a child has been assessed by STS, EP or are currently under the SEN team.

Priority 3 – Permanent exclusion

A child who is referred into the FAP & Assessment Gateway.
