Here at Hillmorton Primary School, we operate a Breakfast Club Monday to Friday. To book a place for your child/children please complete the attached booking form. Priority will be given to parents/carers who require care for a full week for their child/children. Ad hoc bookings can be taken if places are available by contacting the school office in advance. We will be operating a waiting list system and, as places become available they will be offered to those at the top of the list.
Our Breakfast Club must comply with all relevant legislation, therefore we must:-
- have appropriate adult to child ratios
- pre-register children who attend, up to a maximum of 24 per session
Cost per session - £3.50 (Single)
Cost per session - £3.00 (Sibling)
Location – Phiz Lab (School Science Lab accessed from the KS2 Playground)
Children are able to purchase food whilst at breakfast club for a small fee. This will be invoiced separately once we have received the balances from breakfast club (usually at the end of each term).
- Children must be bought to the door and handed over to breakfast club staff.
- Children must be booked into sessions at the office. Due to ratios, children arriving unexpectedly will be turned away.
- Breakfast club commences at 0800am. Younger children will then be taken to their classrooms ready to start school and KS2 will be allowed to go independently unless otherwise requested.
- Payment must be made one month in advance and prior to any sessions being taken via the online payment system.
You will receive confirmation of sessions booked along with an invoice – please do not attend until sessions have been confirmed by the office.
After School Club
Our primary aim is to provide safe and enjoyable childcare for the children who attend Hillmorton Primary School, on every day the school is open. This provision is offered to children in Reception to Year 6.
What happens in the sessions?
During the club, provisions will be made for arts and crafts, games, reading as well as the opportunity for children to complete homework if required. These activities change regularly, and are closely supervised by staff, encouraging social play and interaction. We pride ourselves on being well resourced. Refreshments will be provided during the session. Please note that this will be a light snack, such as fruit and biscuits as well as squash.
The club will run Monday-Thursday 3.30pm-6pm at a cost of £8.50 per session, and 3.30pm-5.45 on a Friday at a cost of £8.
If a child is not collected by the end of the session, then an additional £5 will be charged per 15 minutes. This will need to be paid prior to their next attendance.
How do I book?
Bookings will need to be made online, using Sims Pay. Once the club is at its capacity, we will not be able to take any additional bookings due to ratios. Dates will be available to book in advance from September up until February primarily. Dates for March onwards will be available to book later on in the year and you will be notified when they are on the system.
Please note that we are unable to issue refunds due to non-attendance so we advise that you do not book too far in advance.
Booking and paying through the online system gives you the flexibility to book in last minute, should something come up, providing there is availability. If you have not booked your child into the club, they will not be able to attend and you will be contacted to collect them immediately.
Prior to your child’s first session, you will need to fill out a registration form – please collect one of these from the school office. It is wise to fill out one of these if you think you may ever need the club at short notice as the club leader will need access to this information.
We will send out notification when the club is live on the system and we hope to see many of your children there.
Your child will need to be signed out of the club when leaving. No-one under the age of 16 will be allowed to collect children from the club and only those on the collection form will be able to collect. Children will not be allowed to leave the club to walk home alone under any circumstances. Please ensure your child is collected by the end of the session.
