This classic story of Sophie and her extraordinary tea-time guest has been loved by millions of children since it was first published fifty years ago.
The doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be? What they certainly don’t expect to see at the door is a big furry, stripy tiger!
This inimitable picture book is perfect for reading aloud, or for small children to read to themselves time and again. First published in 1968 and never out of print, it has become a timeless classic enjoyed and beloved by generations of children.

Funny Book
We read it when we were younger but it has always been a good book. We recommend this book for younger children because it is quite easy to read.

AWSOME
The tiger that came to tea is a great book that I have loved since I was four and I think more people should read it. The best bit is when the tiger raids the fridge. Hilarious

I Love This One
I really like this book and I used to read it when I was little and I even went to watch it in the theatre.
