• Hillmorton Primary School Remembers

  Today, our school community came together to observe a minute’s silence as a mark of respect and remembrance. We were honoured to place a special school wreath at the Hillmorton Remembrance monument on Sunday. The wreath was laid by Freya, who represented our school beautifully. A big thank you to the Year 6 children for creating such a thoughtful and meaningful wreath — we are very proud of you all.

• Ofsted Outstanding 2023

• PTA Recruitment Event!

  On Thursday 21st September we will be recruiting members for Hillmorton Primary School's PTA.
  
  Please come along and indicate your interest to Miss Wheeler who will be on the KS2 playground along with a bouncy castle and ice cream van.

  

• Rugby and District Schools Swimming Gala

  Mon 20 Mar 2023

  On Saturday 18th March a group of children from years 5 and 6 represented our school at the Rugby Schools swimming gala. Not only were we impressed with their swimming, determination and resilience but their support for each other was inspiring. We even managed to achieve first place in the Year 5 Girls Freestyle Relay - well done Team Hillmorton! We are incredibly proud.
   

  

• New Musical Instruments

  A huge thank you to Mr Van Laar and his team at Road Chef who raised an amazing £1029.25 for Hillmorton Primary School by selling second hand books. We have used this money to purchase a range of new musical instruments to support our Music Curriculum.

  

• Thank you from Rugby Food Bank!

  Yesterday afternoon we had a visit from John Hemmings from Rugby Food Bank. With the help of School Councillors from Year 1 and Year 2, he spoke to the younger children about what the food bank does and how it helps people in our community. He was very impressed with our collection, and he wishes to thank you for all your generous contributions.

  

• Commemorating HRH Queen Elizabeth II

  On behalf of the staff, governors and children we join the nation in expressing our sadness on the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
  
  A period of National Mourning has started and will continue until the end of the State Funeral. This is a period of time for reflection in response to the death of the Sovereign.
  
  The official date of the State Funeral has been marked as Monday 19 September 2022. This day has been designated as a bank holiday and school will be closed on this day as a mark of respect. Children will return to school on Tuesday 20th September.
