• School Games Quad Kids Athletics Competition

  A huge well done to the Year 4 children that took part in the School Games Quad Kids Athletics Competition at Riverside Academy last Friday.
  They all demonstrated determination and resilience when taking part in the events and worked incredibly hard.
  They all showed respect to each other and to the other children and grown-ups there. The accompanying adults were very proud of all of them.
  Well done Year 4!

  

• Art Week!

   Frank Bowling is our focus artist for this year’s Art Week. He experimented with pouring and dripping paint rather than just using a paintbrush, and found new ways to work with colour and express himself.

  Our School Council would like every one for taking part in the Red Nose day activities. We raised a huge amount for a very good cause.

  

• Unicef Donation

  Well Done Hillmorton - we raised £384 for Unicef during Book Week. What a fantastic achievement. This will support Unicef to help protect children affected by the conflict in Ukraine.

  Our whole school focus book this year is 'Wild' by the author Emily Hughes, This is a tale of nature versus nurture, of a child brought up by animals, like Mowgli in ‘The Jungle Book’ and the Wild Boy of Aveyron. 

  

• Safer Internet Day 2022

  Tuesday 8th February is Safer Internet Day 2022!
  
  The theme for this year is 'All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online'
  
  Mr Ingram - our computing and E-Safety Lead - led a special recorded assembly introducing the theme and some of the activities that the children would be completing today and then each class took part in some targetted sessions linked to the theme of staying safe online.
