Welcome to Year 6!
In Year 6, the children attain a level of independence that enables them to access our creative curriculum confidently and, importantly, with a love of learning. They are able to apply their knowledge and skills, gleaned from their learning across the key stages, and meet the many challenges found across the core and foundation subjects.
The children are encouraged to explore their ideas and creativity and use the Secrets of Success in an engaging and encouraging environment where every voice is heard and respected; the classroom is a place where we feel valued by all and we are free to find our voice. We strive to become learners who are well-prepared to meet the demands of high school and face the challenges ahead.
In our classrooms we learn with;
Mr Godbert-Brown and Mr Stuart (Class Teachers)
and
Mrs Ghuman and Mrs Halford (Class Teaching Assistants)
The booklet below provides information for parents and carers on the end of year expectations for children in our school. The staff have identified these expectations as being the minimum requirements your child must meet in order to ensure continued progress throughout the following year.
All the objectives will be worked on throughout the year and will be the focus of direct teaching. Any extra support you can provide in helping your children to achieve these is greatly valued.
