School Information

We are a happy, friendly community primary school with 390 pupils on roll currently.  Our popular school is towards the end of our seven-year expansion programme and is currently two-form entry in Years R, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and single-form entry in Year 6.  Most pupils live in the surrounding area and as such we have a strong sense of community. We are a national support school and lead the Hillmorton Primary School Alliance: providing quality training and sharing our good practice with other schools who need further support. We are an associate school with the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE) and a partner school with Mathematics Mastery.

We contribute to our local community in a variety of ways such as litter picking, supporting local charities and link neighbouring schools and local religious groups to our school curriculum, all with the purpose of enriching our pupil’s experience while they are with us.

Our pupils demonstrate great care for each other, fostered by the good example of relationships within the school family.  We teach children to become outstanding learners by promoting good values.  Our school values are listed below and are displayed in each classroom as a constant reminder of the attributes we continually encourage in our children.

Our curriculum is a real strength of our school. It is organised into half termly learning themes centred around high quality and stimulating texts. Maths, Reading and Writing are given a high priority whilst carefully balancing the other subjects. We encourage children to embrace their creativity. Music and the arts are an integral part of our curriculum. Our curriculum gives children rich and varied experiences including the opportunity to learn Spanish in Years 3-6.
