What does your child learn at school each day? Find information about our curriculum subjects here.
Our creative curriculum is bespoke to the needs of our children; it is carefully planned with their specific needs in mind. As such, it is ripe with spiritual, moral, social and cultural learning which aids our children in reaching their full potential and equips them to be successful citizens who can contribute positively to society and life in modern Britain. Our creative curriculum provides opportunities for high quality learning and wider personal development. Children acquire important facts, knowledge and importantly, skills and attitudes for life long learning.
Our creative curriculum is planned around units which begin with a memorable WOW! moment as a hook into learning. Through the creative curriculum, children practice and develope their reading, writing and mathematical skills in a range of challenging situations. Each individual year group has its own units, but we also have whole school events in which we celebrate, explore and learn together; often with parents/carers, our Governing Body and the local community.
We also have tailored units which allow children to explore local and national events as they happen. The links made between subjects are strong and explicit, but to ensure curriculum coverage, some aspects of the curriculum may be delivered as discrete subjects.
