Homework: please make sure that your child practises his/her spellings every day and completes any homework set, returning it by Thursday at the latest. It is especially beneficial if your child practises spellings in the context of a sentence. Home Readers will be changed on a Friday this term and sent home on Mondays. Please make sure Home Readers are returned by Friday.
Please make sure that your child has his/her Link Book in school every day. This is our way of communicating information to you as well as acting as an aide memoir for your child. Please sign it at the end of each school week but look at it regularly, as the children make a note in it of letters that are going home. These also contain our only record of how many merits the children have so if the Link Book is lost, your child may miss out on merit badges.
PE kit: the children should always have in school, shorts, t-shirt, pumps or trainers. It is a good idea for the girls to have a pair of socks in school in case they are wearing tights on PE day. P.E will be on Wednesdays and Fridays this term.
Year 3/4 production: Just before we break up for the Easter holiday we will be performing a musical related to saving our planet. More details of this will be sent home soon.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for supporting your children with their learning; it makes such a difference when the children know that their families take an interest in what they do at school. It was great to have so many playscripts written at home and brought in for us to act out.
